Chambers was one of the original cast members of the very long running medical drama.
He played Dr. Alex Karev for 16 seasons from 2005 to 2020 when his character left Seattle to reunite with Katherine Heigl's Izzie.
Chyler checked into Seattle Grace Hospital, as it was called at the time, in season three as Dr. Lexie Grey, the younger half-sister of Ellen Pompeo's Dr. Meredith Grey.
She was on the show for five seasons until she was killed off in season eight, prompting the hospital to change its name to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.
Fans were over the moon to see two fan favorites together again.
