WARNING! THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS ABOUT BIG BROTHER 26!
The first part of the Big Brother 26 final Head of Household (HOH) competition has been played, and its winner is Chelsie Baham. The Big Brother 26 final three–Chelsie, Makensy Manbeck, and Cam Sullivan-Brown–were solidified after Makensy evicted Rubina Bernabe during the live eviction episode. Now Chelsie, Makensy, and Cam will battle it out in the three-part final HOH competition.
The Big Brother 26 live feeds have revealed that Chelsie won Part 1 of the final HOH competition, which was an endurance competition that featured Big Brother 16 winner Derrick Levasseur. Makensy was the first houseguest to be eliminated in the competition. Now she'll compete against Cam in Part 2 of the final HOH competition. Makensy told Chelsie that she's worried about her chances of beating Cam in the next part. Chelsie gave her a pep talk. Makensy also told Chelsie that it sounded stupid, but she wanted to win Part 2 for Chelsie more than for herself.
What Chelsie Baham's Final HOH Part 1 Win Means For Big Brother 26
Chelsie Is Getting Closer To Winning The $750,000
Chelsie's Big Brother 26 HOH Part 1 win means that she's guaranteed to compete in Part 3 live on finale night. This means that she has a better chance of holding her fate in her own hands, and choosing who she wants to take with her to the final two. Chelsie has promised both Cam and Makensy that she'll bring them with her, but she obviously has a much better chance of winning against Cam, who's only won one competition so far in the whole season, than versus Makensy, who's won nine competitions so far.
In addition, Chelsie's win means that it's essential for Makensy to win Part 2. If Cam wins and competes in Part 3 with Chelsie, there's a chance that he could become the final HOH of the season. He would definitely take Chelsie to the final two, which would leave Makensy with third place. Cam has a much better chance of being taken to the final two if he doesn't win because Chelsie has to realize that bringing him with her most likely guarantees her the $750,000 grand prize. If Makensy doesn't win, it could be game over for her.
Our Take On Chelsie Baham's Final HOH Part 1 Win
Chelsie Will Most Likely Win Big Brother 26
It's not surprising that Chelsie came through with the win in the first part of the final HOH competition. She's been a consistent competition beast all season, and she works very well when the pressure is on. Chelsie is in the perfect position no matter what happens, because both Cam and Makensy will take her to the final two with them if she doesn't win Part 3. However, chances are that Chelsie will win and keep the power in her own hands.
Although Chelsie has told Makensy that she'll take her to the final two, that would be a mistake. The appearance of Derrick is a reminder of what happened to Cody Calafiore in Big Brother 16 when he chose to stay loyal to Derrick and their Hitman alliance. He won the final HOH and chose to bring Derrick to the final two with him, instead of Victoria Rafaeli, who he would've most likely unanimously have beaten. Cody ended up losing to Derrick.
The difference here is that Chelsie has been in an alliance with Cam since the beginning of the game, so, if she chose him over Makensy, which she should, it would make sense, and she could justify it. However, Makensy hasn't been loyal to Cam, so she'll most likely feel that she should honor her promise to Chelsie if she wins the final HOH.
Because Chelsie controlled most of Makensy's HOH reigns, Makensy will most likely end up becoming the next Cody, who brought someone unbeatable to the final two with her. It's going to be thrilling to see who wins the final HOH competition, and then the $750,000 grand prize.
